Observing Mengraimaharaj Witthayakom School.

The first thing that i do at school after the welcoming ceremony is introduced me to the Mathematics teacher at the Mathematics room at the Mathematics and Science Bulding of Mengrai School. Mathematics teacher has provide a table for me to work for a month. There are 8 math teacher here in Mengrai School - and also 2 internship teacher from CRRU who will trained to teach for about 6 months. They are all having their own responsible on teaching from Mathayom 1 to Mathayom 6 (Mathayom 1 = Grade 7). My mentor will be one of the Mathematics Teacher called Kru Naa, she is also the coordinator of the Mathematics Department. She will teach me how to teach here in thailand.

I observe of all the teacher here in Mengrai from Mathayom 1 to Mathayom 6. The teacher dont have to stand up and write in the boardmarker all the time while they teaching. There's a camera at the desk of each classroom (especially in Math Building), that is connected to the video proyektor-so the student could see their hand writing. I think it makes teacher easier to teach, also they can keep their eyes on student. The boardmarker was just only uses when teacher want some student to come and write something (like answering question, etc). They also often force the student to answering their question whether it is about the formula, or the answer of the formula.






Observing the Teacher.

Beside observing the teacher, i also observe the school to see what facilities does the school has. There are 3 student accompany us to walk around the school, explain us about all the buildings and each function of the buildings, beside that we also oftenly take a walk around the school to explore the school more. Try to observe more to complete our report. The school is soooo large that it takes time to walk around the school.

Besides obsevation, i also ask for the theacher to have an interview to rechecking my observation result. I interviewing Kru Took, Kru Jane, and Kru Took's husband.

SEA-Teacher Project #11: Teaching Practice in Mathayom 1 Mengraimaharaj Witthayakom School.

Teaching Practice Me: teaching. Actually, i already get used to teach these student at the teaching Assistant before the Final Teaching Weeks, but not taking the class from the begining 'till the end of it. I plan to teach in Mathayom 1 (From 1/1 to 1/6), about the Properties of Linear Equation. I will tell you the Teaching Procedure of Mine: First, i make sure that all the student is ready to accept the subject that i will teach, i let them prepare and ask them whether they are ready to learn or not, this prepration takes 1-2 minues because they are all polit and so easy to tell. After that i start to explain the concept of the Properties of Linear Equation (you can take a look at the previous blog about the teaching plan if you want to know about the properties as well), this is the main activity of my teaching and takes around 20 minutes for the concept explanation. SEA-Teacher Project: #13. Interesting Place in Chiang Rai Part 3

Chiang Rai, 11 February 2018. Our buddy from CRRU promise to bring us walk to see the famous white temple of Chiang Rai. The promise to come at 1 but ended up come at 2:(WKWKWKW  Wat Rong Khun is a unique temple that stands out through the white color and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in the sun. The white color signifies the purity of the Buddha, while the glass  symbolizes  the Buddha’s wisdom and the Dhamma, the Buddhist teachings. The Wat Rong Khun was designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai visual artist. To date the temple is not finished. Eventually there will be nine buildings including an ubosot, a hall to enshrine Buddhist relics, a meditation hall, the monks living quarters and an art gallery.
