SEA-Teacher Project #10: Interesting Place in Chiang Rai Part 2.

Interesting Place in Chiang Rai
Part 2

  1. Black House. BaanDam (Black House) near the school. In Thai, ‘baan’ means home or house and ‘dam’ means black. Baan Dam is sometimes referred to as the ‘Black Temple’, but despite the temple-like appearance of the main building it’s incorrect to describe Baan Dam as a temple. There are a lot of buildings inside, and a lot of strange things such us animal bones, animal skin, teeth, and others.

  2. Mae Sai Border Market. This Large market located in Mae Sai (60kilometers from criang Rai along the border with Myanmar). You can find almost anything here, all tpes of clothes, crafts. kitchen accessories, wigs, beauty products food from the bad quality with cheap price to the good one.

  3. Golden Triangle. Golden The Golden Triangle (สามเหลี่ยมทองคำ Saam Liam Thong Kham) is in Chiang Rai Province, in the far north of Thailand. The English name comes from the meeting of LaosMyanmar and Thailand here, but to the locals it's Sop Ruak, since this is where the Mekong meets the Ruak River.
